After a short time of launch in the Chinese market, recently the Redmi K50 Gaming has officially “docked” in the Vietnamese market via a portable route. This is Redmi’s latest gaming smartphone, equipped with a terrible configuration, quality heat dissipation, along with optimal features for gaming.

The main camera cluster has a design that is quite similar to the K40 Gaming, including 3 lenses: 64MP wide angle, 8MP ultra wide angle and 2MP macro, this parameter is unchanged compared to its predecessor. In general, the screen of the Redmi K50 Gaming is completely fine with entertainment tasks, especially gaming. Because it is an AMOLED screen, the color tones will feel slightly brighter than in reality
Redmi K50 Gaming is equipped with the most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip at the moment, 8GB or 12GB RAM (supports RAM expansion up to 15GB), 128GB or 256GB storage memory
Scoring with AnTuTu v8 and Geekbench 5 software, Redmi K50 Gaming gives a strong performance score. If scored with AnTuTu v9, the device gives a score of nearly 1 million, but when scoring with AuTuTu, the device temperature becomes very hot. In our test case, the temperature increased from 27.7 degrees Celsius to 42.3 degrees Celsius, which is 14.6 degrees Celsius increase and 6% battery loss, sometimes the device even gives a warning that the device is having a very hot temperature, although Although Xiaomi said that Redmi K50 Gaming has strong upgrades in terms of cooling system
According to Xiaomi, the company has equipped this machine with a dual VC vapor chamber cooling system with a total area of 4860mm2, thereby optimizing the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip without worrying about overheating. However, it seems that the reality is not what Xiaomi says, at least for the time being. With high temperatures, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip can hardly maintain peak performance for a long time, especially when playing “heavy” games like Genshin Impact at the highest graphics level.
Hopefully in the future Xiaomi can release a software update that fixes the temperature issues
As a gaming smartphone, it is impossible not to mention the physical trigger key system equipped on the chassis
