Haylou is a fairly new smartwatch brand in the past few years, popular with cheap smartwatches and headphones. About 2 years ago, we had the opportunity to have our hands on two super cheap smartwatch models of Haylou, which are LS01 and Solar. At that time, Haylou was still a relatively young brand, the smartwatch lines were cheap, but there were still many disadvantages, especially in terms of the ability to support Vietnamese.
After 2 years, Haylou smartwatch continues to appear in Vietnam market. This time, we had the opportunity to get our hands on the RS4, one of Haylou’s newly launched smartwatches, and see what upgrades Haylou has made to its affordable smartwatch line after 2 years.
Haylou RS4 – a new smartwatch that has the advantage of an AMOLED screen for a pretty good display quality
Haylou RS4 has a design that closely resembles an Apple Watch. The watch uses a square copper face design, 2.5D slightly curved glass at the edges
This screen has a size of 1.78 inches, using an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 368 x 448. The screen brightness is just average but not really excellent, anyway this is a valuable watch. relatively cheap
Despite having an AMOLED screen, RS4 does not have an always on display, users must rely on a wrist-raising sensor, or a physical key to activate the screen.
Haylou RS4 uses a 20mm silicone strap. The feeling of wearing is relatively comfortable, but for those who often sweat their hands, it may be a bit mysterious

To pair with a smartphone, users need to download the Haylou Fun app (available on the Play Store and App Store). The watch supports pairing via Bluetooth 5.1
The application allows setting up watch faces (with custom faces), viewing parameter graphs, customizing push notification apps, updating software…
Haylou RS4 supports displaying messages in Vietnamese. Although the font has been improved through each version, the ability to display Vietnamese is still quite limited, the letters stick together quite closely, have line breaks and do not display emoticons. In addition, the vibration system of this smartwatch is quite weak, when pushing notifications, if users do not pay attention, they will not know there is a notification.
In terms of battery life, Haylou RS4 is equipped with a 230mAh battery that lasts from 7 to 10 days depending on the user’s needs.
Currently, Haylou RS4 is being sold in Vietnam market for about 1.5 million VND. This price is much more expensive than Haylou’s cheap smartwatches from the past, which cost less than 1 million VND. However, at the price of 1.5 million VND, finding a watch with an AMOLED screen is quite difficult, and this is also the biggest advantage of this RS4.
In general, the price of 1.5 million dong is completely accessible and acceptable if users ignore a few disadvantages such as the Vietnamese font is a bit “bad”, the vibration is a bit weak or there is no standby screen.
