New iPhone SE uses Qualcomm’s unreleased Snapdragon chip – LLODO

Recently, Youtube channel PBKReviews conducted an abdominal dissection of the new iPhone SE model launched by Apple a short time ago. Compared to the old generation, the new iPhone SE has not changed much in appearance, but is upgraded in performance with the A15 Bionic chip, 5G connectivity and longer battery life.

The “dissection” shows that the new iPhone SE has a hardware structure that is not too different. However, when dissecting the details, PBKReviews discovered some new details.

First, the new iPhone SE has a battery capacity of 2018mAh, higher than the previous 1821mAh. According to Apple, the new iPhone SE gives 2 hours longer video playback and 10 hours longer music playback. However, it can be seen that the level of 2018mAh is still quite low by today’s standards.

Besides the A15 Bionic chip similar to the iPhone 13, the iPhone SE also has improved performance thanks to 4GB of RAM, compared to 3GB of the old generation.

However, a source from the Nikkei Xtech site also discovered an interesting new point, that is, the new iPhone SE uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X57 modem. Currently, Qualcomm has not officially announced this chip, so this is most likely a product “ordered” by Apple specifically for the new iPhone.

The Snapdragon X57 chip is the secret behind the iPhone SE’s 5G technology. It should also be noted that, because it is a cheap product, so the iPhone SE does not support the fastest 5G standard, mmWave, but only the 6Ghz standard for slower speeds.
