According to GeekBench 5, the SM-S906U smartphone could be the US version of the Galaxy S22+, equipped with an 8-core processor with a clock speed of 1.78Ghz. This smartphone is installed with Android 12 operating system and comes with 8GB of RAM.

In terms of performance points, Galaxy S22+ with Snapdragon 898 chip reached 1,163 single-core points and 2,728 multi-core points. This score is compared to be as strong as the A12 Bionic chip equipped in Apple’s iPhone XS, with scores of 1,110 and 2,840 respectively.

Obviously with such a performance score, the Snapdragon 898 processor is not really impressive, even disappointing many people. However, this could be a test prototype with less than maximum performance.

Previously leaked information said that the Snapdragon 898 processor will be equipped with a super core Cortex-X2 3.0Ghz, in addition to high performance cores A710 2.5Ghz and power saving cores A510 1.8 Ghz. Comparing the clock speed, it is clear that the Galaxy S22 + smartphone in GeekBench’s test has a much lower clock speed than the theory.
