AirB and AirB Pro are BKAV’s pair of true wireless headphones, first announced in May 2020. After many missed appointments, this pair of headphones will officially reach users on December 5.
After postings about ANC technology, sound quality or production process, recently on social networks, BKAV CEO Nguyen Tu Quang continued to share more information about AirB’s finishing and testing stages. . Specifically, he talked about how the company’s engineers evaluate the water resistance of the headphones.
According to BKAV announced, AirB and AirB Pro meet IP45 waterproof standard. To ensure that each AirB headset meets this standard, BKAV CEO said that he used the vacuum pressure test method, if the pressure drops, it is open.
During the design process, BKAV engineers had to create hundreds of prototype versions, including a version with a transparent shell as shown in the image. This transparent housing makes it easy for engineers to detect water leaks to make appropriate adjustments. It is known that BKAV engineers had to go through thousands of unsuccessful test samples before they could come up with a complete version.
Of course, this transparent version is for testing purposes only and will not be marketed.
“Manufacturing such tangible products, especially HI-TECH products, requires practicality and industry. There is no room for theory. Experiences like this are rare in a single-country environment. As a developing country, there are still many difficulties like Vietnam today, but on the contrary, it gives us SPECIAL EMOTIONS every time we launch, bringing Vietnamese users a new technology product”, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang said.
AirB and AirB Pro are priced at VND 1.49 million and VND 2.99 million, respectively. However, currently, AirB is being discounted by some agents to only VND 790,000, half of the proposed price of BKAV.
The following is the full text of Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang’s post:
Water resistance is an important standard of wireless headphones. Both AirB and AirB Pro are equipped with PREMIUM features IP45 waterproof, dustproof.
The other day I mentioned quality testing, which ensures 100% of products meet IP45 standards. The production stages are carried out by ROBOT, the verification of the results is done by the vacuum test method, if the pressure drops, it is open.
But how to come up with a design and ensure it will pass the above tests. In addition to the design drawings on THEORY, Bkav engineers have to manufacture HUNDREDS of special model versions, before reaching the finished version, also known as MP or Mass Production.
The picture below is a special AirB headset, with a TRANSPARENT shell that you can see and pay special attention to during the research and production process. This is a DESIGNED version for waterproof design research.
The transparent housing of the device allows engineers to see the water leak points, of thousands of unsuccessful tests, before the MP production process is completed.
Such production of tangible products, especially HIGH-TECH products, requires practicality and industry. There is no room for theory.
Experiences like this are rare in the environment of a developing country, with many difficulties like Vietnam today, but on the contrary, it gives us SPECIAL EMOTIONS every time we launch, giving Vietnamese users a unique experience. New technology products.
Let’s look forward to such exciting things at the launch of AirB, Vietnam’s first True Wireless headset, on Sunday, December 5!
Wishing you a productive new day!
