Information about Tencent’s Black Shark Gaming acquisition plan shared by an Indian leaker

According to GSMArena, the official information has not yet been confirmed by Tencent and Xiaomi. As a “big man” in the technology village, especially in the gaming segment, Tencent has always been interested in gaming devices. The company has previously worked with Xiaomi, Nubia as well as ASUS to launch Tencent Gaming Edition versions of the Black Shark, Red Magic and ROG Phone series, distributed exclusively for the Chinese domestic market. However, up to now, Tencent has never had an official gaming smartphone brand of its own.

With the acquisition of the Black Shark gaming business, currently under the management of Xiaomi, Tencent may develop its own gaming phone in the near future. These devices will come pre-installed with Tencent games, and may even have special access to exclusive services offered by Tencent at no charge, or at a cheaper rate.
