Apple has long advertised the iPad as a replacement for computers, and with the new iPad Air, Apple continues to see the tablet as the computer of the future.
In a new ad for the iPad Air titled “Election,” Apple showed off the iPad Air being used by students participating in school elections. The ad is intended to showcase the versatility of the iPad Air, along with its ability to pair with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. The students in the video can be seen using iPad Air to create and design election works, use AirDrop to share that artwork, etc.

Apple ends the video with the tagline “your next computer won’t be a computer”, continues the company’s tradition of bringing the iPad to replace the PC. In the past, Apple has used this tagline for various iPads, including the iPad Pro.
The iPad Air is currently quite similar to the iPad Pro because both tablet models have the same M1 chip. The new iPad Air starts at $599.
