The closer to the end of the year, the busier Razer is in launching new products. Besides the 2 pairs of True Wireless headphones, the Hammerhead TWS 2021 and the Hammerhead TWS X are 2 wired gaming gear products including the keyboard. Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless and mouse Basilisk V3. These are all upgraded versions for Razer’s already well-known product lines, continuing to innovate to become more complete.
Razer Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless Keyboard
The box of the Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless keyboard (and the Basilisk V3 mouse) are colorfully painted because both are equipped with Razer Chroma RGB lighting.
The keyboard’s kit includes a user manual, a connection cord, and a palm rest. Many keyboards on the market often sell without armrests, so Razer’s addition to its product accessories is a remarkable advantage.
The name probably says it all, the keyboard is in the form of Tenkeyless with the Numbpad number pad removed to save desk space and have more space to “flip the mouse”.
The advantage of the Tenkeyless key type is that it still retains all that gamers need, including a row of Function functions.
The type of keycap used by the company is PBT Doubleshot, with 2 advantages of good abrasion resistance over time (no shine due to hand oil) and transparent text for RGB lighting.
Unlike other brands that often use Cherry switches or similar structures, Razer’s key products, including the Huntsman V2 TKL, use switches developed by this company. The type we have here is the 2nd generation linear optical switch.
The optical switch is said to have a fast response speed, according to the announcement of 0.2ms compared to 2ms of a conventional mechanical switch. Whether using it in practice makes a difference is still a big question mark, but for professional gamers, “how fast is that millisecond or that millisecond”!
This switch is placed protruding from the body of the key, making the keycap almost float up.
We have 3 options for the slope for the key is normal, 6 degrees and 9 degrees.
As mentioned, the key comes with a palm rest. The included palm rest will have the advantage of being designed with the right size for the key, unlike those that have to be placed outside.
The connection cord of the key has 1 USB Type-C end and 1 Type-A computer plug.
The wire hole of the key is indented like this…
…so that when plugged in, we can hide the connection, creating a more seamless design.
Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless has a reference price of 3,990,000 VND.
Razer Basilisk V3 . Mouse
Basilisk V3 is the 3rd generation of Razer’s right-handed gaming mouse line, with many design similarities with the V2.
The mouse has an elongated forward design, a palm rest on the left edge for the right thumb. Here we see 3 adjustable buttons, 1 more than many other mice.
Like the keyboard, the Basilisk V3 mouse uses many components developed by Razer itself, including the Razer Focus+ 26,000 DPI optical sensor and Razer Optical button switch with 0.2ms latency and 70 million click lifespan.
The top edge has 2 left and right buttons, 2 control buttons (default is to adjust DPI) and a wheel.
This roller has many special features, given the company a very luxurious name, Hyperscroll. Accordingly, it can rotate in a smooth (no notch), switch from notched to smooth depending on the speed of use, tilt to the sides to become 2 more customizable buttons.
In total, this mouse has up to 11 customizable buttons. Depending on the game, the player can set different features and write to the internal memory of the mouse.
Also with the number 11 is the number of light zones that can be individually adjusted through the Razer Chroma system.
Basilisk V3 has a reference price of 1,890,000 VND.
