vivo recently introduced a new low-cost Y-series smartphone called vivo Y01. This smartphone is equipped with a 6.51-inch LCD screen, HD + resolution using a “water drop” design. The “water drop” area houses the 5MP selfie camera.
vivo Y01 is finished from plastic on both the front and the bezel. The product has 2 color options: blue and black. The back features a 13MP main camera with LED flash, no super wide-angle camera.
The hardware of the device is not too powerful with the Helio P35 chip. This is the chip that appears on other low-cost devices such as OPPO A54, Galaxy A03 or Galaxy A12 …, for average performance, enough to perform basic tasks as well as light entertainment. With weak hardware, vivo Y01 runs on Android 11 Go Edition operating system, 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB storage memory, but supports microSD card expansion.
The advantage of vivo Y01 comes from a relatively large 5000mAh battery that can provide many days of use with basic tasks. However, as mentioned, this machine is only equipped with a microUSB charging port, a charging standard that has become obsolete at the present time and has been replaced by USB-C. With the use of microUSB, users may have difficulty charging the device if they do not bring their own charging cord. In addition, the device also only supports 10W charging, it will take a long time to fully charge the 5000mAh battery.
