vivo has recently launched the next generation of flagships called vivo X80, including 2 versions: vivo X80 and X80 Pro. Both of these machines are equipped with powerful hardware, beautiful design and terrible camera systems.
vivo X80 Pro
vivo X80 Pro is the most advanced version in the X80 series launched this time. Like OPPO Find X5, vivo X80 Pro will also be launched with 2 versions: one using Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and one using Dimensity 9000 chip.
The design of the vivo X80 Pro in particular and the X80 series in general is identical to what was previously leaked. The device will have a finished back from 3 types of materials: imitation leather, AG glass and ceramic, respectively with 3 color options orange, black and blue.
On the back of the X80 Pro, the device is equipped with a terrible camera system consisting of 4 high-quality lenses: 50MP wide-angle using Samsung ISOCELL GNV f/1.57 sensor, 48MP ultra-wide angle (IMX598) f/2.2, 2X 12MP f/2.2 telephoto. /1.85 (IMX663) and 8MP f/3.4 periscope telephoto. These lenses are coated with a T* coating exclusive to Carl Zeiss, which has also been fine-tuned by Carl Zeiss for improved image quality.
Besides, vivo X80 Pro is also equipped with vivo V1+ image processor (ISP), an upgraded version of V1 on vivo X Note.
On the front, vivo X80 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED E5 LTPO screen, which is smaller than the X Note. This screen has a QHD + resolution that supports variable refresh rate (LTPO) from 1 – 120Hz. The 32MP selfie camera is located in the “mole” position in the middle.
vivo also integrates an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor similar to vivo X Note on vivo X80 Pro, which improves accuracy and speed compared to optical fingerprint sensors. Currently, vivo is one of the few manufacturers to equip an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on smartphones, most of which only use cheaper optical ones. The device supports IP68 waterproof.
In terms of performance, as mentioned above, X80 Pro has 2 versions using Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and Dimensity 9000. These two specifications are identical, with 8GB or 12GB RAM, 256GB or 512GB storage. The battery has a capacity of 4700mAh, supports 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
vivo X80
The standard version of the X80 series cuts back on screen, camera, performance, and fast charging. vivo X80 retains the design language of X80 Pro, also has 3 color options: black, orange and blue.
The screen of vivo X80 is a Samsung AMOLED E5 screen, also 6.78 inches in size but only with FHD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate but not LTPO. The device still has a 32MP selfie camera in the middle, with a fingerprint sensor but an optical sensor, not an ultrasonic one like the Pro version.
Regarding the camera, vivo X80 is equipped with a 50MP IMX866 wide-angle camera, a 12MP IMX663 super wide-angle camera, a 2X 12MP IMX663 telephoto camera, but a smaller f/1.98 aperture. This camera cluster also has Zeiss’ T* coating.
In terms of performance, vivo X80 has only one version equipped with Dimensity 9000 chip, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB or 512GB memory. The battery has a capacity of 4500mAh, still supports fast charging but no wireless charging. In addition, this version of ram is also not IP68 waterproof.
Price
vivo X80 Pro and X80 will hit shelves in China from April 29 with starting prices of 5499 yuan and 3699 yuan, respectively, equivalent to VND 19.3 million and VND 12.9 million.
