One day, when you look up into the sky and you can see what looks like an airplane and a yacht, that is Lazzarini’s future vehicle concept.
Lazzarini is a design studio that regularly delivers cool sea works, they just showed off the concept of a flying superyacht called the Air Yacht, which looks like it came from a sci-fi movie. According to Lazzarini’s idea, helium will be the main fuel source for this superyacht.
Made from carbon fiber, the Air Yacht has an 80-meter main hull sandwiched between a pair of 150-meter-long balloons that Lazzarini describes will be used as helium storage.
The Italian company did not give details on how it works, as it is only a design concept anyway, but says compressed helium will allow the Air Yacht to “fly” for 48 hours at a top speed of 60 knots. /hour (about 111 km/h). It is also equipped with eight electric motors powered by ultralight batteries and solar panels. This setup allows the yacht to sail on water at a speed of 5 knots (about 9.3 km/h) without noise or pollution.
Studio said: “Air Yacht offers a way to navigate the skies without harmful emissions for the future.”
Lazzarini ensured that the ship also had all the features of a typical luxury yacht. The central hull includes a large living and dining area, along with a main cabin with en suite bathrooms and expansive panoramic views. In addition, this hull has a helipad and a rooftop swimming pool.
Meanwhile, two airships can be accessed via four separate bridges, and each has five private bedrooms with windows so you can admire the view as you fly.
Lazzarini says the ship is not intended for tourism. “It’s for a private owner who wants both a superyacht and a super airship,” added the studio.
The Air Yacht will remain a concept product until someone is able to make it a reality.
