I just found a great extension on Chrome to help you see revoked messages on Facebook and Messenger. Which extension is that, let’s go into the article with me.
Note: This extension accesses your private messages, and saves it to your computer, never sending the information out (everyone can check the code). BUT Because the author has made the code public, there may be bad guys taking advantage, counterfeiting, inserting malicious code. CANDLESTICK If you want to use it, please download and install the extension from the author’s own github. And Anonyviet is the official source that people can trust.
This is the 2nd version of this extension so it will also have the following new features:
-
There is an interface right on the facebook website
-
Can drag and drop interface
-
SAVE EVERY MESSAGE including old messages (you just need to open the chat frame, read the old message to where the extension will save it)
-
Display ALL MESSAGES text, image, audio, video, GIF, link, location sharing, sticker, audio sticker, youtube link, ….
-
AFTER SAVE, if someone recovers the message, but that message has been saved => Will display a message of recall message, with the message content.
-
Currently the extension saves messages in the LocalStorage of the website, so it is not possible to synchronize messages when you switch from facebook.com to messenger.com, it will be saved separately for 2 pages.
How to see recalled messages on Facebook Messenger
To use this extension, first, you need to visit this github page to download the code. Press Download Zip.
Next, you need to unzip the downloaded file. Then go to Chrome, and go to Extension.
Enable feature Developer mode to be able to install the extension from a source outside the Chrome Extension Store.
Finally, drag the extracted file to this Extension screen.
As you can see in the image below, when someone else retracts the message, you can still see the message, along with the time the message was recovered.
You can look at the image below to see how the Extension saves messages.
And how the extension knows the message is revoked.
I went to the Console to test the commands that the extension provided and it worked very well.
You can also view recalled messages on your phone here.
