At a recent press conference in China, Huawei launched more than 10 new products, including a variety of mobile phones as well as smarthome devices. Prominent among them is the P50E, a new member of the P50 family.
But with restrictions due to sanctions from the US, this mobile phone does not yet support 5G networks. But, Huawei’s Head of Mobile, Yu Chengdong, confidently stated that their 4G is still available. And soon, the signal will be better than even Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro line.

Specifically, at the press conference, Yu Chengdong compared Apple’s high-end mobile phone iPhone 13 Pro with P50E. He said that the antenna signal of his company’s product is 2.5dB higher than that of the competition, and the total antenna radiated power (TRP) on the main band is also better than that of the iPhone. This director said that these are the two core metrics, almost the most important to evaluate the performance of antennas on mobile phones.
And yet, in terms of network speed, he said that although the Huawei P50E does not support 5G, it is “better” than the iPhone 13 Pro that supports 5G. Because upload speeds in weak signal environments are “overall superior” and “transfer speeds are 92% faster than the competition”.

In terms of appearance, Huawei P50E adopts the same classic flat screen design as the P50. Round body, IP68 waterproof and dustproof support. The product is available in four color styles: snow white, haunting black, sky blue and cocoa yellow.

The battery capacity of the product is still 4100mAh, but the battery life is claimed to be 10% higher than the P50, while continuing to support 66W super fast charging. The processor is confirmed to be Snapdragon 778G.
The selling price of Huawei P50E in China starts from 14.7 million.
