In recent years, young people no longer like TVs, instead there are projectors whose prices are decreasing, only 2-3 million have a voltage stabilizer option. Typically, the Wanbo T2 Max model costs just over 3 million, but the image quality is good, the resolution is fullHD and running Android TV 6 is just enough.
Or as recently, its upgraded version is Wanbo T6 Max, launched for about 6-7 million, only sold in China, but some reviewers have ordered it to try it and commented that it is too expensive. both quality and quantity. We also borrowed one from the Lam SmartWatch Youtube channel, and here are the impressions after a few days of use.
Experience the Wanbo T6 Max projector to see if it is “genuine” as rumored.
Nice design, compact enough, not a charged projector
At a glance, Wanbo T6 Max looks almost identical to Wanbo T2 Max. The design of the device has an elegant matte white color, the design style is similar to that of Xiaomi, in general, it is very luxurious, looks like an expensive high-end product.
The box comes with basic accessories such as a remote control and a power cord for the projector. Those who plan to buy should remember that this machine must be plugged in to be used, not a battery-powered type.
The machine is not too heavy but also not light, who wants to carry it on a trip, it takes up a bit of space in the suitcase. In addition, there is no lens cover, so it is easy to get dust and when not in use, it needs to be carefully covered to avoid scratches.
Below the lens is a nice perforated strip, and this is the air outlet, inside there is a cooling fan, not an external speaker. The speaker part has 2 speakers, but they are all facing the back, next to the USB x 2 connection port, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3.5mm I/O port, HDMI port and power cord.
It’s a real Android TV
Normally, when buying a projector, you will need a separate source such as a phone or computer, connected via Wifi or HDMI cable, but with Wanbo T6 Max, the device comes pre-installed with Android TV 9. The interface when displayed is no different from the models. Current TV, has Google Play application store, available Youtube, Netflix and install more FPT Play, VTV Go … comfortably.
Wanbo T6 Max uses 4-core chip, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, built-in 2.4/5GHz Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0. Overall, it has all the features that you usually see on smartTV models running Android. Even its remote also connects via Bluetooth, built-in microphone to talk to Ms. Google in Vietnamese.
In terms of configuration and interface, we don’t see anything to criticize because the operation is stable and fast, equivalent to TV models of 10-20 million.
How big is the screen?
Because we only tried it in a small room, the size of the mat was not at its maximum (200 inches). However, the larger the zoom, the darker the image, so only project it about 2-3 meters away from the screen so that the image size
Is the image quality “divine” as expected?
Yes, absolutely yes, especially when projecting images 100 inches or less. We initially used the device in the room with the light still on, but the picture was both dark and blurry, not good to see. But, turning off the lights is a completely different experience.
The image displayed is very clear, with high brightness, if it is too close, it is sometimes a bit dazzling. Colors are also impressively vibrant even if it’s just projected onto a white painted wall, not a dedicated projection screen.
This machine is advertised as having a true fullHD resolution, when projecting under 100 inches is still sharp enough. If you look closely, you will see that the pixels are slightly tucked into each other, but at a distance of about 2 meters or more, it is completely normal.
However, the minus point is that the configuration is not very stable and the Youtube application for Android TV is not perfect. When turning on fullHD videos on Youtube, the bitrate of the video is compressed to a low level, so the image looks a bit broken and blurred. Meanwhile, switching the resolution to 2K or 4K, the focus is completely tight, but it causes lag in both picture and sound. I also don’t know if this is the fault of this machine alone because it is clear that the ad says the machine supports 4K video decoding.
In addition, the Youtube application allows to watch HDR videos, but when playing back, it fails because of incompatibility. The image is wrong color, wrong brightness to the point of terrible, can not be viewed and can not turn off this HDR mode.
In general, if you want to watch movies with the highest quality, you should connect to your phone or computer via HDMI cable. At this time, the machine only plays the role of projecting images, and processing video information will be the phone / computer, so it always ensures smooth and sharp as desired.
So is it worth buying?
Criticize a few points but we still think this is a product worth buying. The reason is because at the price range of 7 million, it is difficult for you to find a projector that is more voltage stable, can both meet clear, bright images, and run smart software, install applications so you don’t have to worry. source account.
Wanbo T6 Max projector review
-
Crisp fullHD resolution, good brightness
-
Good color quality
-
Android TV 9 is smooth, can install many applications
-
Enough wireless and wired connections
-
Watching fullHD videos at 60fps or higher often lags
-
Can read HDR video but the image is wrong color, wrong brightness
-
Not autofocus as advertised
However, on a tight budget, you can still consider cheaper projectors, such as the Wanbo T2 Max or the BeeCube X2 Max. These models will be inferior in terms of brightness, LED life, slower configuration and more outdated software, generally still perfectly usable at half the price.
