The Ohio Hi-Point Board of Education met in regular session Wednesday evening.
Several students were recognized for their participation in the school’s Career Technical Student Organization. Carter Kreglow recently attended BPA (Business Professionals of America) and was elected to Ohio’s BPA Parliamentary. Kreglow also competed in BPA’s National Leadership Contest, in small business management. Malachi Teets was elected as the State of Ohio’s first FCCLA Vice President. Teets competed recently in Denver, Colorado at the National FCCLA contest in Public Policy. Sullivan Ashcraft & Allison Harlan both recently competed at Skills USA and placed 10th place in the nation. Ashcraft competed in Construction Trades & Harlan in Job Interview.
Superintendent Dr. Rick Smith announced a new program is coming to Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, after many years in the making. The school will offer driver’s education classes to students at no charge. Kelsey Webb explains:
