Medical student implanted bluetooth device in ear to copy – LLODO

On February 21, 2022, 78 medical students took the final MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) exam at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in India. Here, one of them used cheating tricks during the test.

The cheater was an unnamed medical student. Reportedly, he had failed his final exam several times over the past few years and this was his last chance. In response, this student asked a doctor to implant a bluetooth device in the ear. This procedure is difficult to detect with the naked eye.

Besides the bluetooth device hidden in the ear, this student also needs a small phone that is secretly kept inside his pants. Unfortunately for the cheaters, a team of judges showed up in the middle of the competition to conduct a search. They discovered the phone was on and connected to a bluetooth device.

However, despite searching for a long time, the proctors could not find any bluetooth devices on the students. Only after being taken away for questioning did the student confess to how the fraud was carried out.

Before the exam, he asked a surgeon to implant a bluetooth device inside his ear.

Attaching a bluetooth device under the skin sounds both painful and impractical, since the implant must include both a battery and a cover. But the doctors in the profession said, this cheat device is not an ordinary bluetooth device, but it is a form of hearing aid capable of transmitting sound through bones.

This device is attached to the bone to vibrate and transmit the resulting sound to the receptors inside the ear. Hearing aid implants are painless, easy to perform, and can be removed at any time.

Inserting the device into the sole of a sandal, a trick previously discovered also in India.

Dr Anand Rai, who denounced the Vyapam incident – the infamous exam cheating in India, claims that bluetooth device implants have been detected in the country since 2013.

It will be very difficult for the examiners to detect this trick with the naked eye. Unmasking a cheater is often based on experience observing unusual gestures or conducting physical searches.
