In fact, this motorcycle has been improved and uses the car’s battery to produce electricity. Through electrolysis, this motorcycle can separate hydrogen from water molecules.
“This device breaks down water molecules turning it into oxygen and hydrogen. However, the hydrogen comes out in larger quantities and then I use this hydrogen to run motorcycle engines,” explains Azevedo.
This man believes his creation will help reduce air pollution because the exhaust pipe of a motorcycle does not emit carbon monoxide but instead water vapor.
Some claim that the external battery used for electrolysis cannot generate enough energy to allow the car to run for nearly 500km. To this question, Mr. Azevedo replied, the engine uses a system similar to the Kinetic Energy Recovery (KERS) system commonly used in Formula 1 racing cars to recharge energy while moving. Meanwhile, Azevedo’s motorcycle has enough terminal recharging stages, increasing battery life. So “Motor Power H20” can run continuously for nearly 10 hours on the road.
He said: “The advantage of this motorcycle is that it only works on hydrogen from water, and as a result it will produce water vapor. This is different from gasoline, because the exhaust of a gasoline internal combustion engine will be carbon. monoxide”.
Azevedo added that his motorbike can use any type of water, whether it is clean water, domestic water or polluted water.
So far, Mr. Azevedo’s special car is only a test version, but it is really appealing to technology and speed lovers as well as investors willing to invest in mass production.
“I feel extremely surprised that when I tried to pour the water of the Tietê (a polluted river) into the container, this car can still operate normally, and the capacity is almost the same as when used. Clean water”.
“So now I use whatever water I find as fuel for my motorcycle,” explains Azevedo.
There is also an opinion that the amount of hydrogen generated during electrolysis is too small, not providing enough energy for the vehicle to operate. According to Gabriel Azevedo, who helped his father build this revolutionary car, they used a range of additives that make the electrolysis process 350% more efficient. Although these additives will increase the production cost of the car, Gabriel Azevedo insists it is still a lot cheaper than a conventional internal combustion system.
For now, this man’s motorcycle still serves as a prototype, but Azevedo believes it could be successful in the next few years.
