On the morning of December 25, at 9:00 am, the data of the Onus electronic trading platform (formerly VNDC exchange) developed by Vietnamese people was sold by a hacker nicknamed vndcio on RaidForum. You can see more details of this hacker’s post on RaidForum here.
ONUS exchange is the name of the electronic exchange, ONUS floor is backed by Vietnamese Dong (VND). That means the value of ONUS will be equal to VND (1 ONUS = 1 VND).
ONUS is currently one of the most used crypto investment apps in Vietnam with over 2 million downloads and a full ecosystem of financial products for everyone.
- Stablecoin: A coin that is stable and does not fluctuate in price.
- Fiat Money: Money whose value is established by the government.
- Anchor price: The value does not change, always equal to 1 VND.
To make it easier to understand, ONUS is a stable Coin, representing Vietnam Dong (VND) in the field of Blockchain (virtual currency).

The hacker got into Onus’s server and was able to dump the data. This hacker also deleted files on the Onus server, so now they don’t even have eKYC data (evil :v).
The database contains the information of about 2 million users (which are also all users of the ONUS platform).
