After introducing the Galaxy A 2022 series for young users with many youthful elements such as eye-catching design, many color options, powerful performance and quality cameras, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy M 2022 series. with the first 2 products are Galaxy M23 5G and M33 5G.
Like previous M series, Galaxy M23 5G and M33 5G inherit the advantage of large capacity battery. However, this year Samsung has surprised users when it no longer focuses only on the battery element, instead the Galaxy M series is invested more in appearance and performance, which rarely appears on smartphones. M before.
Beautiful appearance, anti-fingerprint matte back, delicate colors
I had the opportunity to have hands on the duo Galaxy M23 5G and M33 5G, as well as two newly launched A series smartphones from Samsung, Galaxy A13 and A23. While Samsung uses glossy plastic material for the cheap A series, with the M series, Samsung uses a rough plastic material that resists sweat and fingerprints for the device. This is a big plus in terms of appearance of this year’s M series.
Not to mention the M series also has color options such as blue, bronze, black and brown which are quite youthful and beautiful. The version that we have in the article is blue (but the color is slightly different), much better than the blue of the Galaxy A13 that we have on hand before.
120Hz screen, although it’s just a TFT panel
This year’s Galaxy M series is equipped with a large 6.6-inch screen and uses a TFT LCD panel. Basically, TFT is a panel with not as high quality as IPS or AMOLED, with limited viewing angles and not too high brightness. However, in return, users will have a high refresh rate of 120Hz instead of 60Hz like on Galaxy A13 (TFT) or 90Hz like on Galaxy A23 (TFT) and A33 5G (Super AMOLED).
In terms of basic everyday experiences, the screen of this year’s Galaxy M is not too different from the screens of other smartphones in the same price range. The machine still gives a good looking color, decent brightness and does not have any display problems.
“Voltage stabilizer” performance thanks to the use of A . series chips
Performance is also a notable factor of this year’s M series when they are all equipped with A series chips. Specifically, the Galaxy M23 5G is equipped with Snapdragon 750G processor, the chip that appeared on the Galaxy A52 5G launched in last year. As for the Galaxy M33 5G, the device is equipped with the Exynos 1280 chip that appears on the Galaxy A33 5G and A53 5G.
Both the Snapdragon 750G and Exynos 1280 chips are two chips for relatively strong performance in the segment, much better than the Exynos 850 chip on the Galaxy A13 and the Snapdragon 680 on the Galaxy A23.
Scoring the performance of Galaxy M23 5G and M33 5G, the machine gave good scores, from 336K to 431K. This score meets the needs of basic use and smooth entertainment with low to medium graphics of current popular games such as PUBG Mobile or Lien Quan Mobile.
5G – Not necessarily an advantage, but still better
Both this year’s Galaxy M23 and M33 support 5G networks, compatible with the frequency bands used in Vietnam. Currently, with Samsung devices, the M23 and M33 are two of the cheapest 5G-enabled devices that users can buy.
Although 5G network is not yet widely popularized and commercialized, this will still be counted as an attractive advantage of this year’s Galaxy M series when compared to the Galaxy A13 and A23. It took until the Galaxy A33 to support 5G, but this version has not been commercialized in Vietnam.
The high-speed 5G network allows users to have faster data transfer speeds, watch 4K/8K videos without lag, and importantly, be able to play games with low latency, something that gamers are extremely passionate about. favorite period. In Vietnam, 5G is being piloted in a few areas in Hoan Kiem (Hanoi) and Nguyen Hue (HCMC) pedestrian streets. In the near future, maybe later this year or next year, 5G will be officially commercialized. This largely depends on the carrier.
Accessible rates
Although the Galaxy A series with 2 candidates, A13 and A23, is quite cheap (under 6 million VND), what users receive is quite limited. If you want a completely good device, users will need to spend (much) more money to own a Galaxy A53 5G (VND 9.9 million) because the A33 5G version has not been officially sold.
Meanwhile, with the Galaxy M23 5G and M33 5G, the device is priced at VND 6.9 million and VND 7.7 million, respectively, much cheaper than the Galaxy A53 5G and not too much more expensive than the Galaxy A23 (Galaxy A23 6GB/128GB version) priced at 6.2 million dong). With the extra money of just over 1 million dong, users will receive a more beautiful design, a better 120Hz screen, and much stronger and more comfortable performance during use.
In general, this year’s Galaxy M series is strongly focused on design and performance elements in addition to battery life. This will also be a worthy choice in the mid-range segment next to the Galaxy A series.
