Huelgoat Forest is home to many great rocks and geological wonders, but Trembling Rock is by far the most famous of them all. The rectangular rock was so large and heavy that no one would have thought it could move it on its own, yet anyone, no matter how thin or weak, could gently move the rock up and down by push in the right place. Perched atop a much larger rock and in a unique position, Trembling Rock can move even the weakest person on Earth or the strongest.
Also known as Logan Rock, Trembling Rock is one of the main reasons why so many people visit Huelgoat. The forest is home to many interesting landmarks, but none can match Trembling Rock in popularity.
Just by choosing that unique position, standing under the top of the stone, gently leaning back, anyone can move the giant stone a little. This makes anyone who touches it feel like becoming the strongest person in the world lifting a giant stone. Of course, not everyone who comes for the first time knows about the secret of the stone and this becomes fun for the children.
Local children often watch tourists try to move the stone, because they don’t know the secret, most of them give up. At this point, the children revealed the secret to curious people for a few cents.
