Simon’s family decided to build his tombstone according to the design of a card from Yu-Gi-Oh, as a way to show respect for his hobby.

Sharing on personal Facebook, Virginia Denley-Hill, Simon’s mother said: “I just want people to understand that my son is a collector of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. So this tombstone is the best way to recreate the passion of his nephew after his death last April. We’re glad this headstone is big and beautiful enough, and I’m sure Simon feels the same way“.

Simon’s tombstone is designed as a 7-star card with 5000 attack points (Attack). On the back is the familiar yellow-orange tornado pattern on the black background of Yu-Gi-Oh. The description of the “card” reads: “Come on, it’s not polite to leave without saying goodbye” – a saying that Simon is very fond of.
