Over the past year or so, Android manufacturers have begun to “get excited” about the Android tablet segment. There have been many smartphone manufacturers entering the tablet field, typically Nokia with Nokia T20, or realme with realme Pad. Both of these tablet models are in the low-cost segment.

And recently, OPPO has also introduced its first Android tablet model called OPPO Pad, a tablet in the mid-range / high-end segment with powerful configuration, beautiful design as well as pen support. O-Pen touch is specially designed by OPPO.

Unlike tablets from Nokia or realme, OPPO Pad has a relatively high-end design and can make most users satisfied. The entire chassis is finished from monolithic aluminum metal, with a characteristic square frame and “catching the trend”. Basically, this OPPO Pad looks like an improved version of the realme Pad launched last year, but is more “genuine” and also more powerful.

The back of OPPO Pad as announced by the manufacturer is a matte AG glass with 2 separate parts. OPPO is also the first manufacturer to apply AG glass to the tablet line, for a premium grip experience and resistance to sweat and fingerprints. Half of the back where the camera is located is designed with stylized “OPPO” logos, showing the youthfulness of the product line. The device has 2 color options, black and purple, in which purple is appreciated for its appearance. In addition, there is a limited silver version.

OPPO Pad weighs 507 grams and is 6.9 mm thin, which is only slightly heavier and thicker than Apple’s 11-inch iPad Pro model. Overall, this is a nice design and doesn’t have a “cheap” feel.

On the front, OPPO Pad is equipped with an 11-inch screen, using an IPS LCD panel, 4 evenly thin edges and rounded corners. If you just look at the front, many people may mistake this as a high-end iPad Pro because the two look very similar.

The screen of OPPO Pad has a resolution of 2.5K (or QHD +), a 120Hz refresh rate, 7mm thin border, and 86.3% screen-to-body ratio. This monitor supports HDR10 and DCI-P3 color gamut, low blue light certified. The visual experience is very good with just enough brightness of 430 nits.

OPPO Pad is equipped with a 4-speaker system on the top and bottom edges, with stereo standards. This is the 2nd generation AAC speaker and it gives a very good audio experience, providing 3-dimensional effects and showing rich, vivid sound ranges, and also supports Dolby Atmos technology.

OPPO integrated the OPPO Pad with a single 13MP camera on the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front.

In terms of performance, OPPO Pad is only equipped with Snapdragon 870 chip, a chip for weaker performance than Snapdragon 888 and 8 Gen 1, but still a powerful chip that fully meets graphics tasks. as heavy as playing today’s popular games. OPPO also developed a ColorOS for Pad interface specifically for OPPO Pad, based on the Android 11 operating system. This interface focuses optimally on tablet tasks and optimizes for large screen space, for example. like split screen feature, use gestures with 2, 3 or 4 fingers to perform different features…

Like current tablet models, the OPPO Pad will also be usable with a removable keyboard. OPPO sells a leather case and full keyboard accessory for this tablet, but there is no trackpad.

OPPO Pad has a starting price of VND 8.3 million in China, it is unclear when it will be sold internationally. The O-Pen stylus and the keyboard cover accessory are priced at 499 yuan and 399 yuan, respectively, equivalent to 1.8 million and 1.4 million dong.
